Meet Shah Atiqur Rahman, Software Engineering Manager, Listing Intelligence. We spoke to him about his function in leading our Listing Intelligence (Search) team and the methods which he makes a distinction at Realtor.com. Here's what he said: Q. Tell us about your team. A. We own nine backend search services that are core to the business's success. Among the most important is the Search API, which powers results on the Search Results page. Our tech stack consists of Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Elasticsearch, GraphQL, Docker, EKS and AWS artifacts. We likewise work carefully with the Artificial intelligence group to bring AI-driven functions to the customer experience, such as search relevancy enhancements and AI-powered search. We're a collective, friendly team that focuses on strong onboarding and constant support. New staff member are assisted through the ramp-up procedure till they're positive taking full ownership of their work. Each employee is useful to other group members when facing difficulties. We value a culture where wins are popular honestly, and setbacks are owned together. We also make time for team-building, whether it's virtual hangouts or in-person parties, to keep friendship strong. Q. What's your biggest accomplishment up until now at Realtor.com? A. I'm most proud of the expert development I've attained because joining Realtor.com as a Software Application Engineer over 7.5 years earlier. Throughout this journey, I've established deep domain expertise, stayed current with developing market practices, and regularly dealt with contemporary innovations. My dedication to constant learning and effect caused my promo to Staff Software Engineer and my role as one of the team's technical leads. Most recently, I've taken on the obligation of being the People Leader for the team-an interesting next step that enables me to support others in their development while continuing to drive technical instructions. I take pride in the reality that my long tenure here hasn't slowed my growth-instead, it's been a platform for me to progress technically and handle greater leadership Q. What should someone seeking to join us in #Tech understand? A. Realtor.com uses interesting technical difficulties, from large-scale information managing to real-time search, personalization, and AI/ML integration. My team culture is extremely collaborative, with a strong emphasis on mentorship, understanding sharing, and cross-functional team effort. #Engineers frequently get opportunities to own vital and tough jobs, work cross-functionally, and step up into management or specialized functions.
